THIS WEEK : Formal Events Look!

This week, STYLE IT ON YOU is focusing more onto red-carpet events and dress-to-impress outfits. First impressions are always judged by the way one dresses. Therefore, wow factors such as embellishments, prints, textures, fine details definitely play an important role when it comes to dressing up well.

Dresses are always the safest piece that you can match to any events and still look good in it. It definitely defines the curves in any woman unless it's a straight cut dress. Even so, pairing it with a skinny belt, and voila! It brings out the femininity in you! Designers & brands nowadays have created various types of dresses to suit woman in any shape and sizes. Each piece is tailored beautifully to enhance and flaunt the body shape.

One coloured dresses are too boring for you? That's right, it's time to spice the dress up by having it printed, embellished or patterned. These kinds of dresses reflects your daring personality to wear something loud despite attending a formal event. Although a little too much of everything can be quite a turn-off as well. You still want to keep it fun with the dress itself and flirty with the cutting of it.

Keeping it simple and comfortable with solid coloured dresses and the symmetrical cuts. These dresses give off a strong and powerful look which is highly recommended if you're trying to impress any big companies. If you think it's too simple, there's always an option to put on a skinny belt at the waist or to pin an eye-catching brooch at the side of your dress, near your collarbone.

Alexander McQueen U-Neck Pencil Dress : Pencil dress with deep U neck, round padded shoulders, short sleeves and slit at back. Material: 100% Virgin Wool.

One of the most important piece in the whole outfit. Even if your dress is extravaganza but your choice of shoes does not match, ngeh. It does make a difference. Shoes elongate the shape of your feet and your leg, do you know that? When picking a shoe for a formal event, make sure it's very comfortable. You do not want to end up with blisters on your feet and it will definitely make you cranky. Totally no-no. Find a pair that gives an appropriate height and a good colour to match your dress. Unless you're daring enough to wear neon yellow and orange, be very very very sure that you can pull it off and not ending up like a clown.

Bags are quite hard to find sometimes. Too chunky, too much patterns, and very messy. What's best is to just carry a clutch around instead! It's simple indeed, and it's quite compact. Hence, you have to limit yourself when you're throwing in junkies into the clutch. Just take the essentials with you, you don't have to bring your whole room. Even so, some of you prefer to bring bags. Simply because you have more things to put in, especially for those with kids. Choose bags with the ones that has a handle and a strap. Sling it over, and there you go, lesser the hassle.

Make sure to have fun when you're picking an outfit for any formal events. Remember, less is more!
